As Chairperson of the INSTOPP Board, Chanette’s main role is to ensure that the team functions smoothly and effectively—a task she finds easy thanks to the passion and dedication of her fellow board members. Before stepping into her current leadership role, she served on the INSTOPP provincial committee for several years, driven by a strong commitment to advocacy within the profession.

Chanette has been working in the field of mental health since 2011. Based in the Eastern Cape, her practice offers both in-patient and out-patient services. The in-patient component focuses primarily on adolescent and adult psychiatry, while the out-patient side specialises in vocational rehabilitation, work hardening, and assessment.

Chanette firmly believes that there is a place for every private practitioner in South Africa. She values the opportunity to support, guide, and empower others in building sustainable and meaningful practices.
